The Vancity Hot Jazz Society (VHJS) is a registered not-for-profit organization based in Vancouver, incorporated under the BC Societies Act since 2016. VHJS is striving to encourage and promote live traditional hot jazz music in dance friendly spaces in Vancouver. All the events are organized and run by our dedicated volunteers and board of directors.
From our constitution, the purposes of Vancity Hot Jazz Society are:
1. To encourage and promote live traditional hot jazz music in dance friendly spaces in Vancouver BC.
2. To collaborate with other organizations and individuals to achieve the purposes set out above.
VHJS currently organizes the weekly HOT JAZZ JAM, the annual Hot Jazz FEST and Hot Jazz SummerStage with fantastic live hot jazz music, awesome jam sessions, and super fun dancing.
